People flourish in bliss and happiness with the support of their society. Rich culture and heritage reflects its happy state of society. The whole world looks up to India for its value-based customs and culture. This has been bestowed to our country by the great saints through temple culture. The temples of India have been transcending our tradition generation to generation very meticulously.

Archakas play a vital role in protecting and bringing in awareness among people about their culture. They, indeed, stand in between God and the society by taking the colossal responsibility of safeguarding the values of society as well as temples. Unfortunately, both Archakas and temples have rough time due to the meaningless policies of our Endowments Department.

The ironical fact is that the Endowments Department, which should protect the temples, is doing harm to them. As a result of the indifferent attitude of Endowments, many temples in nook and corner of AP are deprived of petty customs like lightening the lamp at the feet of God. The temples are on the verge of ruination. In this sorry state of affairs imagine the plight of Archakas whose survival depends on the survival of the temples. The harsh and indigestible fact is that many Archakas thrashed by the merciless destiny have committed suicides.

In these dire circumstances, some temples have transformed into commercial bodies. In view of the above, 'Andhra Pradesh Archaka Samakhya' is conducting a magnificent programme on 26th of April called 'SARPA DIGBANDHANA'. The motto of the massive programme is to attack the Endowments Department only to voice our resentment towards their ruthless policies.

Each and every one of us should take part in this prestigious programme for the simple reason it is our fore most responsibility to protect our culture and tradition which are in turn protected by temples. We will definitely participate if we question our duty and responsibility to our society. We cannot forget the fact that we all form the society. We are indeed the society. We are part and parcel of society. How can we keep quiet and mind our business when the very roots of society are in great danger.

Awake! Arise! Get into action. Let us protest the evils of society. We will not lose anything. In fact, we will feel elated for getting a rare opportunity to serve our society. Let thousands and lakhs of us participate and fight for the cause. Let us remember this is a service to God.

Andhra Pradesh Archaka Samakhya shall assemble at KUCH BHAVAN at 9.30 am.

Sarpadhigbandhanam shall start by 10 am.
